Hot Pop Factory in Toronto, Canada used a 3D printer to create 32 custom Pez dispensers, each with the head of an employee. "The head of each employee was scanned using a Microsoft Kinect
motion-sensor and then combined with the necessary mechanical connectors
(to attach to the PEZ cartridge) before being sent to an in-house 3D
printer."
I wonder what the future holds for Pez as 3D printers become more common
and less expensive? I'm guessing we will be seeing some very cool and
intricate fantasy Pez!
